About me
Hi, I’m Wu, Qiaoya (吴巧雅, “Woo, Chow-Yah”), a fifth-year PhD student in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, working with Prof. Yue Shen.
My research focuses on active galactic nuclei (AGNs) and quasars. My current work includes quasar spectral analysis based on large survey data sets such as SDSS and DESI, as well as photoionization modeling of BLR gas using CLOUDY. I am also interested in connecting observations with theoretical accretion disk and SED models.
